This recipe comes from an 1890 butchers' manual and was described as a sausage ideal for the London trade.

Ingredients: 70% pork, oats, water, sea salt, pepper, mild seasoning.

The sausages made in Sidlesham, south of Chichester, West Sussex are high meat/low fat recipes.
