This new sausage is a collaboration between two renowned family-run Sussex
businesses. Chilgrove Gin is crafted in traditional pot stills by a master
distiller, whose family have been distilling Gin since the 17th
century. Chilgrove use grapes in the distilling process giving it a unique
sophisticated flavour. The Gin is so good it’s become one of the
O’Hagan’s favourite tipples. In a moment of Gin-induced epiphany
Liam O’Hagan decided it would make a fine sausage. The Gin is added to a
traditional English style-sausage. The seasoning has been in the
O’Hagan family since the 1800’s and contains very mild spices including mace,
nutmeg and coriander. The Chilgrove Gin blends perfectly with the mild spices
mutually enhancing each others taste, creating a truly innovative sausage!
Ingredients: 90% Pork, Oats, Chilgrove Gin, Water, Angostura Bitter, salt, pepper other herbs and spices.
